I had lunch with cartoonist Matthew Brown yesterday and enjoyed listening to some stories about his spiritual teachers. I’d love to repeat them here, but Matthew’s putting them in his next graphic novel, so you should experience them there. We had lunch at the Future Bakery, next to the old location of the Brunswick House pub, which is now a Rexall drug store. Matthew asked if I’d been in the place now that it’s a drug store. I hadn’t. Matthew said, “It’s a really nice Rexall.”
After saying goodbye to Matthew, I decided to take a look in the Rexall. The contrast between the original Brunswick House decor and the drug store products is a bit strange:
